The Last Guardian è stato finalmente rilasciato nella maggior parte del mondo, e il direttore creativo Fumito Ueda ha ricevuto le congratulazioni di un collega speciale, Hideo Kojima, che ha acquistato una copia di gioco e subito dopo mostrato sul proprio account Twitter.
Kojima non è stato l’unico a porgere i suoi sentiti complimenti: anche Helmen Huls di Guerrilla Games ha aderito, citando il lavoro dello sviluppatore giapponese come fonte di ispirazione.
